Denika McMillen, LCSW
Denika is a Chicagoan who is returning to her roots to help her sisters who may need support and healing on their way. After graduating from the University of Michigan School of Social Work, she has spent the last twenty-seven years working as a therapist and counselor in the public sector as well as private practices. Denika has a wealth of experience working with Black women, including those within the LGBTQ+ community, those confronting life challenges such as depression, anxiety, and trauma issues.
Denika's main goal as a therapist is for clients to give themselves permission to put down their cape, have time and breathe for themselves, and grow into the person that they would and can be. The process may be difficult at times and they will not be alone on this journey. Being allowed to let go of the "shackles" that hold them down and to alchemize into their true selves, is the existence that everyone deserves.
